Hey has anybody checked these numbers.

the transverse seams really high compared to the static.

I haven't checked transverse numbers yet. But I have yet to get close to the 0.05 as advertised. On our school flooring we got 0.95 (static), then after some driving it went up to 0.18 (static). We got our FRP yesterday and with the worn in wheels go 0.11 (static) then we checked. Once I get a new set of wheels, we'll measure them on the FRP.

What about on an ice rink? I know someone who has been skating since she was about three or four and now works at the rink. I might be able to get the robot in there when no one else is using it and test. Would that lower the friction enough to make it worth it?

With and incline test on the official floor, ours were around .09 incline and .13 transverse. Yes, it surprised us as well. Make sure you load the wheels for the test.

The wheels have a casting flash line that might enhance the
transverse coefficient of friction when new. This line will be
worn away with just a little practice activity. The line on ours
is pretty much gone after driving a test mule for a short time.
