Wind River Printing from cRio

I can't figure out how to view the statements printed by the cRio when executing the Simple Template. I downloaded it very easily, and I installed the update.

Also how do you debug and watch the process of the cRio

Thank You

EDIT: I am using Wind River

If you mean statements from "printf()", you can see them on the serial port out (there's some proper documentation on this)

You can also (apparently) use the Dashboard.Printf() member function to print to the LabView FRC Dashboard. (I haven't tested this)

First, your cRIO must be on and properly connected to your computer through the driver station.

You must first then connect with the cRIO, right clicking on the VxWorks target and clicking "connect to target," assuming you have configured it properly as instructed in the C/C++ programming guide (the instructions I am referring to start on page 86). It should be in the menu on the bottom-left of your screen in the "Remote Systems" tab. Once connected, right click on the "Wind River Target Debugger," go to "Target Tools", and select "Target Console." If a configuration window appears, click ok, and you should now be connected to the console.

The other thing to remember is that the "console out" switch on the cRIO must be set to "on" and the system rebooted before it will send output to the serial port

Theres also an option in the debug target options to immediately launch a console on debug. Quite useful. :)

I have followed all instructions and I haven't been able to receive any feedback from the cRio.

Are you opening the VxWorks console or using the serial port output?
