how does one go about hooking up a solenoid to the pneumatics bumper???:confused:

You use a 2-pin connector. Several of these came in the Kit with 2-pin connectors at both ends. You can cut one of those in half to get two connectors.
Then connect that cable to the two wires of the solenoid and plug in into the pneumatics bumper.

will this work 4 the festo valves and so there is no need 4 a spike?:confused:

As long as the valves run on 12V and less than 3/4A of current, they'll operate just fine with the Solenoid Breakout.

The only tricky thing - the Spikes are full H-bridges and teams have often exploited that to drive a pair of anti-parallel valves. With the Solenoid Breakout, you'll have to implement that "this-one-or-that-one-or-neither" logic in software.

The Festo valves can be run directly from the Pneumatic Bumper without a Spike.
