Making belt loops with vinyl tubing
Our team is trying to make belt loops out of vinyl tubing. Anybody know the most secure way connecting the ends of the tubing? Thanks in advance :)

Re: Making belt loops with vinyl tubing
I'm no expert on the subject but you should be able to take the ends of the tubes and melt them together with a heat gun or soldering iron. If you could post up the link or a picture of the product you might get more answers.

Re: Making belt loops with vinyl tubing
Mcmaster says that there are two ways to do it. One is to melt the ends together by cutting a 45˚ angle such that you have a large surface area to combine. Just make the ends soft and melted with a heat source. (heat gun, soldering iron, lighter, torch etc) then combine using a scrap piece of angle as a guide for straightness. Or you can cut it without an angle and buy these barbed sticks which you insert into both. search "multi-barbed tube fittings " on Mcmaster.com

Re: Making belt loops with vinyl tubing
Do a search on Mcmaster for hollow tube round belting, they use a simple gromet and holds the material together very well. We've used them in the pass without a problem. Just cut to lenght and press them together.
