I regret to inform you that this won't work as duct tape is illegal.

We plan to replace this wheel with a larger diameter wheel as soon as it comes in the mail. :D

Re: pic: Team 2415 Completes their Bot!

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure restriction on duct tape is only for "structural purposes". Also could this by explained? To the untrained eye it looks like 3 separate prototypes piled on top of a chassis.

Oh, but duct tape IS legal this year.

Since when? Evidence too please.

You people are worried about the duct tape? What about the robot footprint?

Read the rule book... the only mentions of tape in the robot section are suggestions on insulating electrical contacts and keeping junk out of the CAN ports on the Jaguars.

There are no rules against it this year, and usually there are specific tape rules.

Anyway, I'd like to the the robot on the field, in exactly that condition. :p
Well, not really... but it looks like it will be neat when it's done.

That would be awesome. I'd like to see it in action, especially the shooter mechanism. I think this design has potential to work well, but video would help to visualize it. :)

Looks interesting...but also like most of it is out side the chassis

Proto's are looking great!

I actually really like that design (in my head the orientation looks good). Good luck guys. :)

Haha, you caught us. It indeed happens to be our prototype roller, 2 wheel shooter (half disassembled) , and 1 wheel shooter :D

Re: pic: Team 2415 Completes their Bot!

i like the design as a whole, but will the shooter work? nothing is allowed to leave the perimeter of the bumpers. this arm shooter looks like it would do that. i might be wrong.

Re: pic: Team 2415 Completes their Bot!

we are going to use duct tape regardless of what the rules say.
Thanks you
No but really, this is just a few different prototypes just piled on top of each other. I hope my kids know the rules...

Hahahaha, when I first saw this I laughed for a good hour.

Those prototypes themselves look good, but are you out of the dimensions?

I'm worried about the first time it shoots, and it sends like 5 or 6 pieces of itself along with the orbit ball. :)

it is only outside of the chassis because its a prototype lol
i'm loving the design alot! it looks like it has a lot of potential to do really well. and have to agree with others that you should get some videos on here to show it off!
