Workbench is not working. Need help Please
 

We have been trying to get workbench installed so that we can start programming. We originally had problems with our licensing not working correctly. We now have the license working but after we installed workbench we dont have an executable to run workbench. We checked the start menu under national instruments and it was not there so we went through c:\windriver\workbench 3.0\ and there is no executable anywhere in this route. We also do not see any executable in route c:\program files\national instruments\ . We have tried uninstall and reinstalling and still no luck. We definitely installed workbench also. Inserted DVD 2 and ran through installation, also ran through updates from the FRC website.

Not sure if it helps but running on Vista as well. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

Also note that the install does not give us all the options that the screen shot from the FRC website shows. Attached is a screen shot of our install options.

Been there, done that, I think. Did you get a 30-day activation code that you got direct from WindRiver, instead of using the default one that pops up? When I tried that, I got what you are seeing.

Well somehow the LAC began to work. After installing and uninstalling it just decided it was time lol. But our new issue is that it does not look like it has the option to install workbench at all

When I installed Workbench, somehow it also didn't end up anywhere in the start menu. I created a shortcut in my start menu to C:\WindRiver\workbench-3.0\wrwb\platform\eclipse\wrwb-x86-win32.exe and it launches fine for me that way.

7 minutes after your posting, I tried again... no joy. Sigh. It's going to be really hard to get this done with no tools!
