Re: Edit Imports
Are you using SolidWorks?
You should be able to start a sketch on any plane on any part & make holes (or other extruded cuts) in the parts easily as you would any part, you just can't go back & edit a feature as you would with a part you started from scratch with a full feature tree. What exactly are you trying to do? |

I was having a problem earlier last week downloading timing belt sprocket models from SDP-SI as .stp files; every sprocket only had three teeth. Since they were dumb solids, I wasn't able to really do anything easy to fix them. When I went back and downloaded the Pro/E part file, I was able to import that with feature recognition, and it recognized the teeth profile as a circle pattern, which I was able to edit and fill in all the remaining teeth. |
Re: Edit Imports
Sometimes with imported geometry the sketches of each feature are "fixed". You have to delete the fixed state from the sketch and then add dimensions that can be modified. The chassis on 3dcontentcentral will download each part of the frame. Edit the sketches and you will be able to make the frame shorter. Marie
