The Real Trailer

Has anyone built a real trailer? It has a swivel with two pins that will allow the trailer to tip not like the team trailer drawings.

A few teams have posted that backing up is a quick way to turn around. I was wondering if it's still true with the swivel in. Also how easy is it to tip the trailer?

The trailer design has a hole added to both parts, and apparently a pin is inserted to prevent rotation.

I.e. - the trailer cannot tip because of that pin.

I have to assume that it's there to act as a shear pin however, and if enough force is applied the trailer will break that pin but remain attached to the robot.

Thanks. I was looking at GE-09036a and GE-09009a. I see the hole for the shear pin now. The fact that GE-09036a is labeled hitch, swivel threw me off. Probably the "a" revision added the shear pin. I guess no trailers will tip without robots tipping as well.

on those drawings, look at Revision A on each one, which is a hole for a pin that will prevent the two parts from rotating. At least that's what I understood from Dave's post in my link above. Also notice the dates of the revisions. It looks like a last minute change before the game was announced.
