What do you get when you mix some clever students, wooden dowels, a trash can, some brooms and some PVC?

I love it! This has to be one of the most clever hopper designs I've ever seen!

Man...
It's really crazy!

Ya I had the same idea last week but due to a kinda lame prototype my team was convinced that it would be inefficient, and decided to go another route, but I hope to see this work at the competition!

I wasn't convinced on the lift until I saw the fast version. This is really neat! Very innovative use of materials- you will turn a lot of heads at competitions. :)

Wow, very original design!!! Don't forget to share the final product with us!

Nicely done! We've been working on a very similar design, but it uses a sticky roller in the middle instead of bristles (seen here). We were planning on trying bristles, too, if the roller didn't work well enough, but apparently it works great either way!

Very nice! We decided to go with bristles because it's gentler on the ball, and will likely require less torque as the hopper fills up.

That was sweet. It proves how simple designs work great

Great Job. This should be pretty good on the field.

Brilliant!

Who ever came up with that deserves a high five.

Awesome idea! Where on earth did you guys get those brushes? We have a different idea for their use than your application though...
