i was looking earlier at the webcasts links and couldnt find anything for davis. :(

There is an outside company that specializes in internet broadcasting, and they plan on donating some time and resources to streaming Davis out for the world to see. There should be a link available closer to the time of competition.

As for the MC, I saw Ken on campus a few days ago, and apparently he was doing some training at SVR and will be lead MC-ing at SAC. I'm sure he'll do a great job!

Martin, I doubt Theiss could do it, he works 3 jobs :ahh:

Everyone be on the lookout for 1678, they might surprise you...

Our scouts were quite impressed by 1678 at the fembot scrimmage - looking really good.

So what's up with 1678's name change from "Engen" to "Citrus Circuits"?

Thanks! Our name change is mostly due to the fact that no one on the team really liked Engen anymore. Plus, Citrus Circuits gives us a "theme" of sorts to work off of. Don't be surprised if you see a dancing lemon on the field this year...

Sam, I'm not sure if they will be offering tours or not, since the SAC Regional is during UC Davis spring break. I'm currently a Sophomore in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and I'd be more than willing to answer any questions you have about Davis or its engineering program in particular. Congrats on getting in!

I talked with Randy Lam(regional director) today. The MC is going to be Ken, and possibly another trainee.
EDIT: Read next posts

Andy,

I'll give Randy a call. I don't think we'll need a second connection for the streaming.

Ken (not the MC Ken)

Yeah, this is correct, I talked to him again.

Any linkage? If you get a link please post it up. I'll be watching for 1458 and 1323. =) You guys will do great and add to that Rockwell award.

The internet connection for the webcast has been worked out. You guys can spend your donation money on pizza.

We'll get a link up as soon as we finalize the hosting with NASA Ames.

Ken

I heard 675 and 766 really showed people up. 1323 was telling me 2551 looks solid once again, 1323 doesn't look too bad either.
