Acceleration limiter on the joy stick

Anybody thought of just using the acceleration limiter on the joystick for traction control?

That was my plan plus some minor encoder work

We are using a Low Pass Filter to ramp up acceleration and prevent tire spinning.

Are you using WindRiver or LabView?

Re: Acceleration limiter on the joy stick

There are many many pre built filter VI's in Labview. Our programmer and mentor found several that will do the job. The nice thing is that they are configurable so you can get the feel you want . That and the ability to see the out put graphically really shows the power of Labview. Now I have to admit that just controlling acceleration with out a sensor and feed back is not going to be as good as what some teams are doing with encoders and true traction control, but it's simple and not complex.

We already have ramping code up and running in Windriver.
