Team 34 Website

This is Team 34's entry for the website competition this year. Most of the web page is complete. The members page and just one or two others are not finished or just partially. Constructive criticism is gladly welcome.

Very cool i like the flair without the need for huge amounts of flashy banners. Wish our website was as classy as that! Any tips?

I just looked at your site a few minutes ago off another thread. And I liked it. Like the menu and the rollover along with the slight gradients around. I don't know much about drupal, so I don't really know what to say about using it to the full potential. Might need a little more up top? Instead of just your logo? Its good space for something if you needed. Other than that, I think your site does a good job of representing your team. One other thing, put FIRST's logo on your first page. It looks good to advertise for them.

I like your site, conveys the information but in a not to text way just the right amount. Id say check our out but we are updating and really renovating it.

Wow, I really like your website. It's easy to read, the links to everything are easy to find, and the front page is great. It explains what FIRST and this year's game are all about, and it also shows your team with the picture. It's not overly cluttered, but it still tells a story and is aesthetically interesting. I wish our website team had it all down like that. ;) Good luck this season! You should make sure you finish it up and submit it for the website award at your regional!

Wow, excellent website!!! Not difficult to navigate, not cluttered with too much flashy images/code, simple. Good job! :)

Thanks for all the great compliments. The web team, which only consists of three people, and it used to be just me for three years, has really put a lot of time and effort in this year. I made our design before the kickoff which has really allowed us to work at an easy pace. The whole site is student coded, with none of our mentors knowing much about web pages, and its something we can be proud of.

I applaud any completely student coded stuff (i see tons of teams using drupal, and i like using DotNetNuke).
Also, you page loads in the 'not-so-big 3' (safari, chrome, opera). It works in firefox too, which in my opinion is great.
congrats!

That is something you should be proud of! Keep this documented in your team history, and do submit your website for review at your regional! Congratulations!

Thank you. I always use firefox, but since most people, and I assume most schools, ours does, uses Internet Explorer 6. I use conditional statements to fix all browser issues. I also downloaded those browsers to make sure they work since I have a Mac too.

Now that Team 34's website is completely finished. I would like to know if anyone has some more criticism even though the deadline is tonight. Thanks

The top pic on the "Our Robot" page does not seem to load from my pc at home. The bottom pic seems fine.
