That thing looks huge. What are the dimensions on that? It does look incredible. I like that pattern for lightening. It just looks right. Overall that's a great job guys.

Is it 8wd as well with the back wheel direct driven

Probably just the way I took it, the table is pretty small also.

WoW

I know I've seen the pic before....but man, that thing looks BEASTLY. I can't wait to see you guys at Trenton.

Are you guys going to 303's practice field? If so, we'll see you guys there again.

I'm so happy to be able to call these guys the EWCP's rookie leaders.

P.S. Link to that pic with the white board marker in the middle, it puts the size into perspective.

Looks like a nice, solid frame. Good work.

Had you gone with 1/16" wall I suspect you could have equaled the current weight for a fraction of the effort... Of course this is coming from the laziest machinist ever

It does look awesome. I want to see what goes on top!

It looks great. I do have a question though.

You can make basically this exact same chassis with the kit chassis components in about 1/50th the time. What decision factors pushed you towards making the custom chassis? I'm not trying to critique, as it looks fantastic, I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Team Overdrive,

Looks Awesome! I missed seeing your FTC team this year at the Ohio Championship. Good luck in your first season of FRC. Maybe Team 1038 will meet up with you in Atlanta.

Well it looks great! You guys never fail to push the envelope even in FTC. To bad we won't get to see each other this year unless we both make it to worlds!:D :D (crosses fingers)

Because when you have the tools why not make a frame like this? We learned a lot making this and we can be proud of it during our competitions. No need to dis the kit frame but I don't really like it (for many reasons).

Also it did not take that long to build and we are using the kit frame as our test bed right now.

Looks awesome. You should be proud.

Looks 38" x 38" to me... I hope it's just the perspective of the picture...

With this, it's fewer parts to break, as it's one piece as opposed to all the little nuts and bolts in the KOP.
Guys, that thing is GODLY! (drools in envy...)

To start your own thread?

To start your own thread, go into the forum that you want to create a thread in. Brandon Martus gives some examples on the portal of where you would start a thread. This example is the 'general' forum. Look up in the upper left and you will see a 'new thread' button. Click on that. Make sure that when you type your title of your topic that it is informative and spelled correctly before you post the thread. You can edit your post but you can not edit your title. A mod would have to do that, so be careful with that.

If you want to upload a photo, go into the FAQ and read that as a guide. Photos don't show in the portal right away, they have to go through an approval system. When the photo is approved and shows in the portal, then you can start a thread by clicking on the photo and then follow the new thread process.

Just so everyone feels better, it is a wide base. Measures 27.5" by 37.5", which gives us .5" for nuts and bolts.

Hopefully everything goes well this year, so far its been a bit slow, but what team does not feel that way.
