Color tracking not working.
Hey, im from team 549 and we are currently working on our color tracking program in labview. We downloaded the Two color tracking program from the first website to use. Our problem is that when we try to use it the camera scans, then finds the target, and then seems to go all the way left and start scanning again right away. Is there some thing we are doing wrong or something not set? We havent changed the program we downloaded at all. Thanks for the help.

Re: Color tracking not working.
If your camera is mounted with the power and network connectors at the top, it's upside down from the way the software expects. It will tend to "run away from" the target instead of tracking it.
If this is the case, you can connect the camera directly to your computer and log on to it (user FRC, password FRC) to configure it to rotate the image 180 degrees. It's also possible to build the pan/tilt assembly as a mirror image of the intended design, in which case the tilt servo is going to drive the camera up when the software thinks it's going down. Looking into the camera lens, the tilt servo ought to be to the camera's left. If neither of these is your issue, i'm not sure what else to suggest. |
Re: Color tracking not working.
The proportional constants for determining how the gimbal moves due when the image isn't centered are on the gimbal control subVI. I believe one is positive and one is negative. If you think one is backwards, negate it. If that fixes it, be sure to make current value default on the control.
