I want to go this year for the first time ever. Don't know how we'd put up against all the insane teams in the midwest....but we'd bring it.

Dangit, I've gotta get to one of these off-season things, and IRI would be my first choice. I heard there was a mentors-only round (or something like that) at either this, or another, event.

With the high possibility of 964 not even existing past our regional, I'm wondering if there are any area teams I can ride up with?

We gave up the mentor round so we could have more 'regular' team matches. Although fun, the mentor rounds took about 2 times as long to play as student rounds (i wonder why ... ?). When we bumped up to 72 teams for the IRI, the mentor matches had to go.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year. :( It was going to be iffy with finances anyway; with the date change I'm already committed elsewhere. Hope everyone has fun, it's a great event.
