Oooooh pretty, loving the welds. I love how everyone notices the back first. Any info on how many wheels and what motors you were planning ot use for your drivetrain.
Nice Job and Congrats on your FIRST post. |
Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.
it appears to use 1 CIM per side with a nice looking gearbox. is that a custom box?
looks good :D o wait nvm its one CIM direct driven and 4 of the 6 wheels are driven |
Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.
If we took a picture of our frame, I'd have to say its almost an identical twin of this one. ;)

Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.
sexiest gear boxes of them all, really how much do they weight?

Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.
At the risk of becoming tedious, what else goes on that frame? Clearly there is no provision for bumpers to be attached to a solid portion of the bumper perimeter in the pieces shown here.

Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.
It almost looks like a four wheel drive set up with front wheel steering, but it sure is hard to tell in that picture! I guess I'll know when I see it in person at the AZ regional... and hopefully it will be all sorts of pretty colors by then, too.

Did the students actually do this?

I am guessing that we were thinking along the same lines; a removable outer solid portion that allows us to swap out wheels easily if necessary. :D 5n1p3r, It certainly isn't impossible for students to do, especially the welding. |
