How do you see the camera feed while the robot is running on the computer without disconnecting the camera from the robot in C++?

Run the dashboard on the PC and look at the examples for using it.

this may be a stupid question but how do i use the dashboard once the dashboard project is on the cRIO?

The dashboard project doesn't get targeted for the cRIO. It runs on the PC.
