Re: More prototyping from 2791
I assume the drill isn't going to be duct taped to the final robot, which motor are you planning on using for the intake?

Re: More prototyping from 2791
That elevator is surprisingly fast are you going to use a similar system to shoot them (if you plan on shooting them), because it looked like those flew far enough to make it effective.... Very Effective.

Re: More prototyping from 2791
CIM for the elevator, FP for the intake

Re: More prototyping from 2791
You know every year there are several incarnations of mechanisms and designs on numerous robots and this year I've seen at least five other teams with a similiar conveyer belt design with strips of materials like wedgetop and poly cord in segments. Originally I thought this was an innovative design on our part, but I'm probably wrong on this. I suggest espionage is a foot in FIRST.

Haha, I didn't know feet could be used as a metaphor for spying. At the same time, many teams have posted their designs online, either on CD, youtube, or their team websites. You usually don't do that if you're so intent on keeping everything secret.
We used rubber hoses for 'fingers' on our intake on the Monday after kickoff; pneumatic tubing works just as well but we've found varying advantages/disadvantages to using either. But I do like that elevator, it seems that it would be better to use it as a shooter though ;) . |
