Sidecar Debug

Does anyone know if there is a sample vi that allows you to see all inputs and outputs on the sidecar for making debugging easier? I would much appreciate it.

See team update 5 and/or the default dashboard.

Sounds like you may be looking for the FRC Diagnostic Window

Thank you, that is exactly what i needed. Would you know how to get that to work with LabView?

You should have all the info you need on the page I linked to. The download link is in the top right corner of the page and the page itself has a description of how to deploy the program and what info it gives where.

If you have a specific question I'm sure someone could help you out (I haven't actually gotten a chance to use the diagnostic yet).

When we try to get a reading from the DIOs using the Diagnostic window it shows that they all have a value of 1 even though nothing is plugged into them. Are we using this wrong.

Nope. There are resistors that set the value to 1 unless you do something to make them a 0. It seems counterintuitive at first - why didn't we make it 0 by default? The reason is that several communication methods use a "1 unless we say otherwise" standard. This allows you to easily interface with them.
