5th gear Simulator help
Hi all!
So I was trying out the new sim and started a instance of it in server mode and then ran another instance in client mode. When I went to connect the client it gave me an error Unhandled exception: Could not find part of the path 'C:\Windows\system32\Bots\OverDrive' so then I tried it in lunacy mode and got this: Unhandled exception: Could not find part of the path 'C:\Windows\system32\Bots\Lunacy' Please help me out! |

Re: 5th gear Simulator help
KD,
First piece of advice - Always search before posting :) - There is already a thread for 2009 5th Gear discussions. I pay attention to that thread, I could easily overlook new threads... Quote:

I'm going to send a separate email to my colleague who wrote/configured the installer - He should be able to take care of you. Question - Did you perform an installation? or did you try to copy all the necessary files from some other computer where 5G had been successfully installed? If you tried to copy files, then I suspect you missed some... Blake |

Re: 5th gear Simulator help
Hmm, thats really odd. Why is it looking in your windows System32 folder for your files? It sounds like the working directory of shortcut you use to launch it is wrong. If you right click on the shortcut and choose properties you can check that the "Start In" directory points to the 5th Gear root directory.
