I spy a black pool noodle under the black drawer liner from Walmart !
Do you also use 3/4" pvc ?

I'm glad to see other team's using a similar technique. We thought we were going out on a limb with that roller design.

Our color scheme makes it easier to see the differences in the layers of the rollers.

The roller you are seening is only used to gather the orbit balls, however it's not quite finished(notice the zip-ties). The rest of the system includes a conveyor and shooter type mechanism. We found that a continous roller system was not as fast as a conveyor system; the continous rollers really are just immitating a belt system in a more complicated manner.

No, we did noy use any pvc in our design. Underneath the shelve liner is a secret :D , but there is an aluminum axel somewhere underneath it. It's not a pool noodle either:cool: . We have more pictures, but we decided to wait until the weekend is over to finish installing other minor components.

how hard are you pushing on the balls to pick them up.

The front roller compresses the ball between 1 and 1.5 inches [depending on the specific ball since none of them are exactly the same]. With the shelf liner its incredibly pliable and pulls the balls in very quickly
