Infrared sensor in LabView

Alright, so we got some infrared sensors to help detect things in our LabView code. Problem is... I don't see anyone using these sensors except us  + we don't know how to gather data from such devices in LabView. The model is the Sharp GP2D120 IR Range Sensor. Please help, as we don't have much time to experiment!

Is is an analog sensor? If so, use the Analog Channel vi's. You'll get a voltage value instead of a distance, so you will have to scale it to your needs.

http://www.acroname.com/robotics/parts/GP2D120_SS.pdf has the information you are looking for.

Page 4 has the wiring: Vo is the signal, VCC is the 5V input.

Pages 9 & 10 have the graph you need to interpret the resulting signal.

Let us know how it works!
