Website Deadline?
 

The website deadline is tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 12th) at 11:59 p.m. EST.

I was wondering if you are allowed to edit and update your website after that.

you can edit content, but i would do my best to get everything done before the deadline

the judges get live links, so if you change it, they will see the change, but if they evaluate the site before a change is made, they won't see it.

I know several website judges in my area, and they generally try to start judging as soon as they can, since they have huge numbers of sites to go through.

One of the mentors on our team told me that they don't usually do it until that teams regionals are near.

The judges can look at the site at any time between the deadline and the regional. When in that window they actually do look will vary from judge to judge, regional to regional.

There is actually an undisclosed (only known to the judges for that week of regional) date before the regionals.

Also, you get a different score per regional, so if judges like your website at one regional, they may not like it at the next. Also, Championship has another set of judges.

i have some tracking code on last years FRC website (team 2002) and looking back at the logs, it seemed like there was a huge jump in traffic right after the web deadline...

seems like this would indicat that judges started early.
