Broken CRio

 We were driving the robot around doing some testing, when it suddenly stopped working. Upon further inspection, the CRio had no power, but the cable supplying power was fine. If there are any teams near us (Toronto, Ontario) that don't need their CRio over the long weekend, or any team that has an extra CRio, we would be willing to pay all shipping costs.:ahh: :ahh:

Thanks for your consideration.:(

Contact NI tomorrow before 4 CST, and you'll have a replacement sent to you overnight so you'll be up and running this weekend. When you call us please make sure you give us detailed information on how the robot was wired (cRIO isolated? Ground routing, etc.) so we can diagnose the issue.

Search the forum too... I know of two recent threads that have had the same issues posted. There is an internal fuse in the cRIO that blew in one thread.

Before you go off thinking the Crio is toast, check the wires. As Russ and Erik have posted many times, the Wago connectors need a minimum of wire stripped for the contact to be effective. It may look like it is inserted but you may not have electrical contact. Also, if there is any stray strands of wire that cross over to the opposite wiring block, you may be shorting out the wiring and tripping the breaker. This can occur at either end. Use a meter and be sure. Remember that the Crio power supply is a 24 volt supply contained within the PD. It will run down to about 5 volts on the main battery, so be sure to use a charged battery when running the robot.

Thank you to team 1334 for lending us a controller. It is greatly appreciated.
