any else have any funny streeks of breaking stuff and robotics:confused:

None here so far but I went through a week like that last season...after day 2 I refused to touch the robot for almost a week and a half because I was afraid I was going to break the robot!

You might think about taking off tomorrow since it is Friday the 13th...:ahh:

i generally break things for some reason... but then i get to fix them wich is just more fun for me lol:D


i have trouble with drill bits alot...the seem inferior to my drilling abbilities:P

I broke the lock in the bathroom a a charter-bus and got stuck in the bathroom for 20min on the way to a regional. I will never live that one down. I broke out with a school ID lol.

I broke two 1/4" 20 taps yesterday.

I was drilling through some 8020 with a hand drill when someone told me to "man-handle" it. The bit became an inch and half shorter.

yeah...on my team i am no longer aloud to touch chargers because starting at cal games i fried the battery charger for the autonomous mode and it was out of charge and i have also fried one of our chargers in the shop. so everyone was joking that because i was weighing the electronics when they came in-thus touching the cRIO and stuff- that they wouldn't work :D

All I did was fry a spike -- the circuit breaker breaking about 15 times and the wires getting really hot didn't quite clue me in, so I almost switched it out for another... before a mentor enlightened me. I was a bit under the weather that day.

I've done a pretty swell job of painting robot parts this year (if I might say so myself), but tonight I managed to create a horrible mess of the most visible section of the chassis. Spray paint + wind + gluing stencil down = not good. Luckily, one of our newer members happened to have some brushes and white paint, so it's almost erased.

Another fun incident is when one of our members got himself locked in the Taco Bell restroom on our way home from Sacramento. The manager had to kick the door in.
