Battlebots!
 

So I had read a while ago that ESPN was going to broadcast a small Battlebots competition and that "the bots are back." I really did love Battlebots when I was smaller.

Anyway, I was on the Battlebots site and I saw that high schoolers can participate in a high school class. I got very interested and started reading the general high school rules. Bottom line, every single FIRST team could strap weapons on their bots and head over to California to compete! Only a few modifications would have to be made to turn an FRC bot into a legitimate Battlebot.

In fact from what I read you could use a Vex microcontroller, radio and controller to drive the bot. This would be better because I'm sure that no team would risk any of the new, required FIRST electronics on a Battlebot BUT if old, spare parts could be used then... well... Someone might be successful in begging their team leader into taking a team to California. :D And being on TV... At Battlebots!

(I wish I lived closer to California, here in Florida its a long, expensive flight)
