Re: [FTC]: Bluetooth

Don't ever, ever change the passkey. Your brick will be unusable at a competition. Reset it back to "1234" using the ROBOTC "Reset Password" branch on the bluetooth menu.

Try connecting the NXT to the laptop using the Add bluetooth devices in windows. Also, read all the Bluetooth documents located on the FIRST website (http://www.usfirst.org/community/ftc...aspx?id=11126).

keep getting an error:

Virtual BT Serial Port Not Found

Re: [FTC]: Bluetooth

I had the same error a while back. I just switched over to a cable interface when using RobotC and with the FMS I had no problems with the Bluetooth. I have no idea what started happening, but to this day I have problems with the Bluetooth in RobotC, even though before it worked.

Anyone else have this problem?

Re: [FTC]: Bluetooth

If you have McAfee or Norton Anti Virus or Internet Security installed, you'll want to disable it. You'll also want to make sure you have Administrator rights on the machine that you are using - and that is true Administrator rights (some school machines let you believe you have admin, but you can't create any new ports or anything).

Which is exactly what the BT stuff does. It tries to create two new serial ports for every different brick it connects with. If you do not have permission to (or if a security software is preventing you from) creating those two ports, you'd see this error.

Hope this helps,
