Are you sure you got the weight right, if so how thick is the aluminum. The density of aluminum is about 0.1 lb/cu.in. It’s not clear how tall it is but I’ll assume 5’ (60”) for the box and 4’ (48”) on each side. That’s 4 x 48 x 60 = 11,520 sq.in. for the sides plus 2 x 48 x 48 = 4608 sq.in. for the top and bottom. Divide 90 lb by 0.1 lb/cu.in. and again by (11,520 + 4608) sq.in. and you get an average thickness of a little less than 1/16”. That’s without skids, connections or internal bracing. That is NOT going to made for a very robust crate.

its aircraft aluminum, so I'm going to say that it is honeycomb aluminum which is very light and very strong... that gives you only weighing 90 lbs.

If its honeycomb aluminum, I can see how that would be strong enough. It its just aircraft aluminum, that will not hold up.

It is 1/8" plate aluminum 6061 T6. Maybe I am wrong on the weight. When I picked up one side, it didn't feel all that heavy. Since we don't have a scale, I was guessing. :(
