True, dumpers can handle it by themselves. But you have to gather all those balls without getting slammed into the wall by the opponent. I think Lewis has a point, picking alliances this year is gonna matter a tad bit more than last year.

imagine this :
a powerful shooter like 1114 or 217 slams a robot up against the wall, t-bone-ing them. A power dumper like 148, 254, 968, etc. brings up the rear with a trailer load of balls to dump in. The pinned robot has almost no where to go and is at least severely impeded. the turret of the shooter can make up for the odd angle of collision, and makes up for their scoring power by giving the dumper a clean shot. the 3rd robot can assist in scoring, or at least provide defense to the scoring robots.
so, all you shooters, and all you dumpers, just hope you can get your alternate on your alliance, team picks this year are looking to be a lot more strategic than just stacking points up. somewhat like 2007 when the lifter was essential to the game breaking win.

i just managed to get this out now because i was watching how 1114 was attacking the trailers in the video, good work guys!

If 1114 pins a bot, by the time a power dumper like 148 or ourselves can get over there, 1114 will already have filled the goal to capacity.

I wouldn't say completely filled. I think all the power dumper would need to do is cap it off though.

I think they have sturdy metal funneling the balls up. I tested that while prototyping but we never used it. It does work well for the purpose.

This is AMAZING! haha I'm really loving the turret. I showed this to people around me in school and they started to call your robot Kobe.:]

What a coincidence! The metal components of my favorite robot were also done by IFI!

It has the same desgin as your 2006 robot except that you guys convert from tracks to a 6-wheel drive. You guys also added a turret to mount a shooter mechanism, right??
