Re: FIRST, Please ...

FIRST,

Please Keep the rulings consistent. If it was legal in one regional, then it should be legal at them all.

Please Remember, there are no re-dos for mis-scored matches, we should not have to play again when you can just as easily re-score the match.

Please Inform the audience why when in the Elims an entire alliance gets yellow carded for the actions of one.

FIRST please...

in face of economic difficulties, unprecedented growth that seems to happen faster than anyone would ever be able to keep up with and supply for, mounting criticism for any and everything you do and the never ending search to find new ideas to challenge the fertile minds that crave more from you every year I ask one thing...

keep fighting the good fight and never give up.
We need you more than ever.

FIRST, Please:

Do not rely only on live scoring for final match scores. Verify and adjust the score from the trailers at the end of the match. With a ref at each trailer, it takes seconds to verify.

but what was the fiasco at SVR last year?

oh and FIRST, please make sure broken balls don't sway the score of a match one way or another

There was a finals rematch for no apparent reason. Though noone thought bad of it but it made the winning team have to play again and win another game or face another rematch.

And FIRST,

Have the scoring system perfected before the regionals, we don't want to hear about the results of a game while watching another.

NI is planning on having reps available at regionals, I am waiting to hear the exact regionals and if Michigan district events will be covered. Barring that, the best bet is to ask on the NI community (http://decibel.ni.com/content/community/first). Questions are answered within 48 hours by actual engineers or developers.

FIRST please allow us our freedom to design robots how we choose.

FIRST please do not try to "level the playing field" and allow us to play at our potential. (Personal opinion, not saying they are or aren't now)

Scores will be verified by hand.

FIRST, please insure that all of the driver stations will be up and running so we don't have to sit for hours to make the new system work...

No, there WAS a reason. The refs made a goof, and the Manual said the opposite of what they said. So instead simply correcting the scores, they did a replay (second goof). The "wrong" alliance won. FIRST wound up giving the finalists slots at the Championship because of that error.

Second the call for none of that this year...

If they have their leads attached. If they don't, they don't. See the other threads on this topic for full details/reactions.
