The Blue Alliance Text Message Match Results

Does anyone know if the blue alliance is going to have text message match updates again this year?
Thanks

I am waiting to roll it out until after I confirm that the system works again. I haven't had data to test our realtime match parsing with yet. If you're adventurous, the signup will be at the same place it was last year.

I will make a "real" post once we're rolling tomorrow.

You can also subscribe to the Regional Twitter Accounts and have Twitter deliver the message to you via text message.

Check http://www.robokong2493.com/twitter_accounts.html for more information.

Another great extension of The Blue Alliance API.

1. set up an account @ www.twitter.com

2. go to your profile settings and register your phone

3. go to a regional account, if im correct Midwest would be @firstil , and New Jersey is @firstnj etc. in other words @first(first letter code for each regional.) so to visit the Midwest page, you would do www.twitter.com/firstil and that should take you stright to the page where you can follow the MidWest Regional

4. Follow that account and activate device updates

5. Sit back and enjoy

Greg, I've just got two things:

1) Do I have to purge last year's teams if I don't want to follow them anymore, or is that automatic since it's been a year since I've used anything. - Basically, is there a way to unsubscribe from a team if I start getting unwanted updates?

2) I signed up with 1 team who is playing a week one regional this year just now, so I'll send some updates if there is any problems!

This seems to be for the entire regional, is there a way to follow only your team?

I nuked the database, so no signups from last year or from IRI should have carried over. If testing today is successful, I will announce it all - I just don't want to pull the curtain off before it works.

The one team I signed up for seems to be working (ie: I am getting the alerts - whether or not I'm getting the correct info is yet to be determined)
I can check that later from the FIRST database for the regional.

I saw the instructions posted earlier for the registration for a full event alerts, how do you register for only one team?

Greg & the rest of TBA are updating the software from what I can tell from his comments, but:

I signed up for one team, & it's working fine for me.

I am not 100% sure it is working 100% of the time, but it seems to be working ok. If you take the effort to sign up now, consider yourself a "beta tester". I will launch it officially for Week 2.

I signed up and I am a bit surprised at the lag, but when you are back in the pits, it it better late than never.

im sure most of you do but just incase, for i'd really hate to see this happen.

make sure you have unlimited text, I'd hate to see someone get a $6,000 bill just from Blue Alliance/Twitter texts.
