in the last 10 seconds of the match bacon released its strangle thinking the game was theirs, but alas, krunch goes and while picking up balls on the way swiftly scores a full load in the last microseconds of the match sealing the deal for our alliance!

I know the match you are talking about even though I can't give a number, but bacon didn't have a fan, spam did, I am not sure which robot it was.

I don't remember if it changed the match or not, but I will go on record as saying that I saw at least one ref cheering the shot. Plus half the arena. It was sometime after lunch, maybe mid-afternoon. I don't remember the teams involved.

LA Regional
Match: 39
1438 3027 1070 VS. 207 995 702 12 71

The Payload Specialist on Team 702 shots a Half court buzzer beater with perfect accuracy! and ya all the judges looked out for him all day.;)

Anytime 1625 was playing at Wisconsin Regional, they would get pinned and/or double teamed, but would always break free and score at least 2 huge dumps. The crowd went crazy every time. It was spectacular (and scary).

The best super cell play I saw was at Arizona, quarterfinal 2 match one. (video here)

The red alliance of 2840, 60, and 2839 had a super cell available in each corner. The first super cell was thrown into a pileup, missed the trailer, and landed on 2839's pneumatic shooter. Several seconds later they aimed and fired it into the trailer (the only robot to score a super cell at AZ, I think). To top it off, the payload specialist from the other corner scored the second super cell from over half the court away!

At the Lansing District Team 1918 was about to unload their bot in to a trailer and it had a supercell in it at end of the game. Then my team, team 2075, pushed them out of the way to save the game. We ended up winning by 2 I think.

This is my favorite so far but i haven't watched many matches because i am either in the pit or driving.

Change "1625" to either "488" or "1280" and "Wisconsin" to "Seattle" then I couldn't agree more!

Yesterday, Long ISland regional

Quarter finals 3 vs 6

Match 2 4 point win for Seed 6 after a super cell
Match 3 1 point win for Seed 3 even after Seed 6 threw a super cell...

epic!

Re: Great Plays of 2009

One of the weirdest plays of 2009 that I have seen so far doesn't even concern our team at all. Our team was at Traverse City a few weeks ago and were watching a game when we saw a PS throw a "Hail Mary" super cell across the field and watched it bounce off the field and land in his own alliances trailers. At first, we all cheered because we thought he made it into an opposing alliance's trailer :o . However, he looked angry and we soon saw why. It was more of an issue of bad luck on their part than the PS's fault. Oh well, what happens happens...;)
