Penalties

Hey guys I haven't been able to watch the regionals too busy working on our practice robot. I was wondering what penalty(s) have been given out the most

Re: Penalties

I've seen a lot of penalties on the payload specialist:
- for touching moonrocks before the match begins
- for touching/throwing super cells before the :20 mark
- for throwing super cells without any empty cells on the rack
- for throwing empty cells over the outpost shield
- for not using the tongs in the airlock

Re: Penalties

Not using the tongs has to be the most common (and most boneheaded) penalty I've seen this year.

Re: Penalties

Unfortunately for our alliance in the QF in Oregon, it was the reason we had a tie instead of a win and advancing to the next round.
Its heartbreaking when for two years in a row, we dont advance in an elimination match due to penalties.

- for breaking the plane of the outpost while inserting empty cells

drive team:
- for captain touching controls (ie driver wearing captain badge)

robots:
- (rarely) for a robot in possession of two empty cells (happened once in NY I believe).
- disqualification for detached trailer (only once in NY)

Re: Penalties

A majority of the penalties are by the Payload Specialists as listed in this thread:
