It's getting closer to that time of year again, so it's Roll Call time! lol

I'm still not sure if I'm going, but I'm just wondering where everyone is planning on staying this year.

Also, does anyone have any reviews about The Ellis Hotel in Atlanta?
I think it's fairly new.

i remember all of those refrences from last year

the best one, the army dudes with the parachutes, those were the best. LOL

not sure if im going this year, but if i am, i'd rather room with someone (last year, things didn't work out and i ended up paying quite a bit for my hotel room at the marquis)

Btw, I'll put together a Google map of where teams are staying this year just like the ones that were done in previous years, if someone can point me in the direction of a how-to for making your own Google map.

The first thing I should ask though, is does it require a Google (mail/other) account?
I don't have one of those... yet.

Anyways, I finally booked my flight last night to Atlanta (& a side trip to Tampa, Florida after Atlanta) & I'll be at the Marriot Marquis while in Atlanta. w00t! :cool:

We are pretty far away every year. Turner Field Hotel. Other teams always seem to stay there also.

But with rental cars every year, we just drive to the event which is pretty quick.
We always find "secret" parking which is, lets just say, 2 minutes from the pit. ;)

The TRC (492) is at Baymont on Piedmont. Its a bit of a hike, but there are MARTA stations nearby, and so far we may be the only team! Stuff does fill up fast!

My flight arrives in Atlanta @ 3:15pm on Wednesday the 15th.
Should be a quick MARTA ride to the hotel for myself & 2 other friends & then volunteer check-in sometime that evening at The Dome/GWCC.

Wow its good to see that other teams were looking forward to seeing us in Atlanta. Now that we won in Colorado we will definitely be attending the Championship :D That said, you can count on us working on a Roboprom for this year. We will post more information on CD as soon as we know where we are staying and we get all our flight information together. Thanks again for the support!

As for all those frisbee players out there, there is pick-up frisbee at Georgia Tech every Friday 9pm-midnightish, and it's only a few MARTA(metro) stops from the Georgia Dome.
