Happy Pi Day everyone

Yes, its that time of year again. One of the best holidays ever. I encourage everyone to enjoy pi day to the fullest. The following link is to a video that should be just the thing to start off the holiday.

Ironically I came across this thread at 1:59 am.

Happy 4 - 4/3 + 4/5 - 4/7 + 4/9 - 4/11 + 4/13 ... 4/infinity day*.

* There are better and more efficient series for finding pi, but this is the easiest to memorize.

That is awesome. My school just had a pi week. It involved pi memorization, pi a professor, and a pizza and pie with a professor(he went over the history of pi). Unfortunately, I was too busy this week with tests.

BTW: Pie a teacher, on pi day, might be a decent fund raiser for robotics. fyi

We are hosting a VRC competition tomorrow (it's not quite midnight here), and we are raffling off a pie as part of the awards ceremony. It's the Washington State Pi Day Vex Robotics Competition...

And even though I told myself I wouldn't get nervous, I am...although I'm fully expecting to not get in.

My nervousness is doubled because RPI releases their decisions at 7 PM EDT tonight too.

GAHHH!!! :ahh:

Happy Pi day to all! I wore my pi shirt today from think geek, and had some strangers wish me happy pi day, I felt happy! :)

I just can't wait until 3/14/15. Pi day will never be as complete for another hundred years.

My fiance was going to propose to me on pi day but decided instead to just go for it in February. That sorta makes me sad, because getting engaged on pi day would have been total bragging rights in the geek community.

Had to? That would have been awesome. Not to mention good luck.

I never remembered it as that. I remember it as
4(summation(from x=-inf, to inf, ((-1)^x)/(2x+1)))

(Yes, Infact, I am a programmer...)
