Upload it to the intertubes, then use the link to the picture they give you.

If you plan on posting lots of pictures, I'd suggest creating an account on a free photo sharing site (photobucket, flickr, etc) or uploading them to tinypic.

For occasional use, you can also attach photos and documents to posts. Beneath the posting options, there is a section labelled "Attach Files" with a button reading "Manage Attachments."

Re: welding table

2 ways:
You can uplaod it to the CD picture gallery here:
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/upload/

or

Add it as an attachment to a post.
Post a reply after me here, & below where you type, you'll see a "Manage Attachments" button.
Then you can browse to your picture, & it will be in your post.

That's probably the best way, since you already started a topic.

It may just be me, but I'd prefer if you not upload these types of images to CD media. I tend to prefer CD Media pictures be related to robots, competitions, innovations, or individuals associated with FIRST. It gets tiring when teams upload all sorts of random stuff to it, such as fliers, tools, or raw materials (especially when the purpose can often be achieved just as easily by creating a thread).
Please help keep CD media clean, it makes life easier for everyone.

Also, anything uploaded to CD media will not immediately appear, but has to be approved by a mod first.

What's the filesize? All .jpg files have a max filesize of 100kb to be attached.

This post http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...highlight=1538 shows you are correct.

Re: welding table

It's actually not a welding table. It's really an optical table. Three of them were donated to our school, we took two and sent the third to another local team.

Since it is an optical table, it's close to perfectly flat. The legs are also designed to isolate the table top from vibration. The table top is about 5' x 12' with 1/4-20 tapped holes spaced every 1". This makes an ideal surface for welding frames together since we can lay parts flat, clamp and jig them up with the 1/4-20 mounting holes. After welding we can also use the table to make sure the aluminum hasn't pulled too much and if it has, correct it.

Since the tables were donated, I can't tell you where they were purchased or how much they were. I did some research and found one that is the same size for about $6,900 on eBay. The table is not light. If you're interested in purchasing one, find one near by and rent a truck and fork lift to move it.
