I'm looking forward to this event. We did pretty well at our first competition at Kettering (its new to us having a working bot right away:p ) so I hope we'll do even better here. It should be fun.

I think there will be a lot of strategy going on as well as good competition. Many of the robots have already played at an event, so most of the teams will have reliable robots that will rarely malfunction (unlike at Traverse, where the majority of the teams had control system problems).

Code Red Robotics will be webcasting the Detroit District Event and it will be available at

www.coderedrobotics.com

We will not be there but our equipment will be set up and we will run it from the Lansing District Event!

Good Luck all!

Any questions let me know!

Corey

Thank you so much for broadcasting this event! Many of the FEDS' parents cannot attend, so they will all be pleased to hear that they will be able to watch it from here in Rochester! Your team rocks!

Looks like Dean Kamen and friends will be in Michigan this weekend. Lansing-Friday and Detroit-Saturday. I believe this info was sent out by FiM in an email.

 Wow! I haven't heard anything about this...That totally makes my weekend [:

Thank you to Code Red for doing the webcast! I found it very useful at Kettering so that I could keep tabs on the elimination matches while donig some repair work on the bot ;)

I'm definitely looking forward to this event. Not only are there some very good teams attending, but there are a good number of rookies, or newer veteran teams, which should make the competition interesting.

...And we should theoretically have a working robot when we get there today, which is going to make things soooo much better :D I can only hope that something hasn't gone wrong with it since I last saw it in action on Sunday.

Good luck to everybody! Stop by and say hello if you get the chance

Crap. I have to work on Saturday so I'll only be in Detroit on Friday. Oh well.

The event IS running very smoothly. The schedule is fairly regular, even if it's not always exactly on time, and there's a lot more seating than some of us experienced at Kettering a few weeks ago, which is quite nice ^_^ All of the teams have been very gracious and professional, and also pretty competitive.

Keep up the good work everybody, and good luck tomorrow!

GO 3119! I got the chance to hang out with this great bunch of kids before I started my new job. This is their first year and it has been a roller coaster ride. Right now they are 5&3!

They are doing quite well indeed. They were in out shop several times over the build season and I think they are having a great start to their FIRST experience. I know our drivers had fun driving in the match we had with them.

Thank you so much for helping them out. They had really great things to say about your team.
