Dear WildStang,

you left your flag at the Boilermaker Regional. We have it. You will get your flag back at Nationals, but accurate CAD files of your best swervedrive would be appreciated.

Thank you,

WBI
Team 461

P.S.: More pictures will follow. :D

Moderators: Please lock/delete this thread.

Thank you.

To Wildstang (if you read this): Flo already emailed you guys about this, so just reply and figure out a way for us to get it back if you want it
To everyone else: I would like to make it clear that Will's statements do not reflect the position of team 461.

So... the rest of you don't have a sense of humor? lol

I recall some other times of holding team items hostage in a Capture The Flag type game as a prank.

It's all good & as long as the original team (111 in this case) gets their item back, I'm sure everyone will be cool with it.

We're still on our bus heading home, so we've locked the student responsible for the flag in the bathroom as punishment. :)

Thanks for grabbing it for us though!

That's awefully nicely worded "demand" for a serious "hostage situation".:p

Did anyone use said bathroom beforehand?

Dave Scheck 03-21-2009 08:00 PM

Re: Dear WildStang

I can neither confirm nor deny that I may have performed weapons grade methane tests in said bathroom prior to locking said student in with any potential noxious fumes...

I dunno, it looks like we may need to call in team 16 (The Bomb Squad).

Then you might have a 1902 (oink oink BOOM) which could result in a 418 (Purple Haze).

Unless of course, it was just team 68 (Truck Town Thunder). In that case we might not need team 365 (The Miracle Workerz) to save us.

Wow, just look where this thread has gone...

You could almost make something like this into a story game by involving team names for various uses like those above. :yikes:

it must have taken some excellent precision guesswork (1646) to figure that one out

Oh dear this better not end in mort (11) (french)

kirtar 03-22-2009 01:23 PM

Re: Dear WildStang

Yeah I'm not to HOT (67) on that part. Not exactly in a RUSH (27) to get there (and in case somebody didn't get it, mort means death).

Or...
You get a 830 (rat pack) to, uh, do stuff.

What do Rats do? :( I'm sure if they work together they could get a lot done.

Re: Dear WildStang

it looks like this thread has taken a trip on the 1023 (bedford express)

anyway wildstang, you will get your flag back. our team has tried swerve/crab systems in the past and we just wanted to take a look at yours if you'd be willing to send us the CAD files. thanks!

But the rats may be the victims of a Cat Attack (451).

I think a call needs to be made to the FEDS (Team 201) as well.

I just hope this situation doesn't escalate enough that we need 007!

kitar,

This is just a suggestion but it might be more appropriate to contact one of the mentors of WildStang, privately, to present your requests for access to CAD files, descriptions, and expertise. ChiefDelphi isn't always the place to discuss these types of requests or seeming demands.

An example that I can offer is 234's business plan. A while back, I wrote one of the mentors on the team and asked if he could direct me to a white paper or answer some questions for me. He was very happy to do so and the exchanges between us occurred using the private message system.

Teams don't have to share their design work. They can be very generous and do so, but they don't have to. That is something to keep in mind as well.

This is just a suggestion, as I said.
Jane

I'm aware of this. I was making sure it was clear that we're not going to copy them. In fact, Will posted this without much thought so we had to salvage it. I'm pretty sure we already have said pictures in either case.

To concerned members of 461. CHILL. NOBODY TAKES THIS THREAD SERIOUSLY! EVEN WILDSTANG is having fun in this thread. ....

That said, the P-51 Mustangs can toss 007 out of our plane for a reconnaissance mission and I'm pretty sure you can find a WildStang to ride back.

No kidding, I was lmao listening to people getting all HOT (Team 67) about this thread and people are so desperate (Team 1504) that they need to chew this kid out, he was kidding.... At least there flag will be returned, and is not being abducted (Team 494) or worse by more martians (Team 70). I think that we should all just chill out better yet freeze (Team 910). I am sure that the team doesn't want to get everyone upset like a bunch of wild mustangs (Team 111). Or even some mutant robotic mustangs. (Team 548) Have fun with this thread everyone, because i sure am having fun.... I think someone should open a thread like this, and we should all tell a story of some sort that actually makes sense...

Yeah... a few of the B-24 (66) Pilots (me+sis+'rents) care for about 5-6 cats (451 as noted) at a house home to a backyard habitat of a few frogs (503)...

Of course they are, since Wildstang stole their design from Beatty. :p Didn't you see the video?

The bandwidth it would take would definitely be more than a Kil-A-Byte (1024). The servers would have some sort of allergic reaction as if they had been stung by a Killer Bee (33).
