I believe 1625 would be classified as a power dumper because of bottom belting.

I'd disagree, but I also think these "classifications" are pretty stupid.
If so, then 234 and 2068 aren't gravity dumpers either (both also use similar scoring methods).

I always considered those as power dumpers, IE using the aid of rollers and such.

Sorry I never got to see your performance at AZ. Heard it was sick though.

Added to shooters 1726.

We are not relying soley on gravity, hence not a gravity dumper.
We classify ourselves as a power dumper

Only Seen Michigan Teams but i think 217 is amazing.
469 910 both great scorers with agility.
And the Big GM four are all great this year
65 66 67 68
Especially 67 but Everyone knows that already ;)
Can't wait to see the out of state teams!

Re: Top Bots for 2009?

I used OPRNet to throw the rankings for all the regionals into a spreadsheet, and sorted by OPR. These numbers are for one competition each; I don't have full-season numbers (yet).
OPR can be interpreted as a team's average contribution to their alliance's score; these numbers only include qualifying matches (afaik).
Top 25 is arbitrary.
Code:

Team        OPR        SAA        PM        RPI        Regional        Result
1        71        63.55        13.69        49.86        0.54        Midwest                Loss
2        67        55.25        7.51        47.73        0.61        Lansing, MI        Win

4        399        53.89        5.26        48.63        0.57        Colorado        Win

10        1625        48.82        13.99        34.83        0.54        Midwest                Win

15        121        47.19        8.28        38.91        0.60        Connecticut        Loss

18        2199        44.74        26.5        18.24        0.54        Washington DC        Loss
19        1279        44.29        19.23        25.06        0.56        Philadelphia        Loss
20        1622        44.21        10.39        33.82        0.56        San Diego        Loss
21        188        43.64        23.98        19.66        0.54        Greater Toronto        Loss
22        395        43.35        9.06        34.29        0.5        Philadelphia        Win
23        1625        43.32        14.14        29.18        0.55        Wisconsin        Win
24        1218        43.22        12.76        30.47        0.54        Pittsburgh        Win
25        1114        43.18        11.25        31.93        0.58        Midwest                Loss

- 71 stands out beyond the rest, though it's possible their high OPR there is a bit boosted by inconsistencies in their alliance's behavior. Their next appearance is 37.98 OPR, placing 59th on this list
- 67's dominance is supported not just by their top notch OPR appearing three times, but also by their consistently high RPI. They had to play tough teams.
- 67 (#2,7,17), 188 (#3,21), 399 (#4,11), 694 (#6,12), 1625 (#10, 23), 2056 (#9,16) appeared in the top 25 OPR multiple times.
Some slightly off topic statistics:
- 18 different teams appeared in the top 25 OPR.
- After these performances high scoring performances, 12/25 went on to win the regional.
- 13/18 teams will be going to Atlanta (Assuming usfirst.org's championship team list is currently up to date). 103, 694, 968, 1279, 2199 will not be there.

Team 1345 worked closely with Team 179 this season. We built a twin. Both of our robots are gravity dumpers. The "rotation" of the basket throws the moonrocks into the trailer.

67-111-1625-85-245-494-70-1-33-1024-45-330-233-179-148-1114-2056-79-45
904-71-65-141-201-1918-107.
mainly Michigan teams because they're is no real need to scout out of state yet because of the trial we have.

what about team 1254? our record may not be that good but our bot is awsome.
and did u see that smash on BOB durning the finals? it bent out frame and broke it in another place.

GO 216,1918, 1254!!!!

[quote=rees2001;841334]I'm going to throw a vote in for 1507. A team that will not be at Championship. They were 12-2-2 at FLR (both losses came in elims), 10-4-0 at Philly, (2 of 4 losses came in elims vs 56 365 395).

Rees
Appreciate the vote but we just booked the Courtyard Marriott Atlanta Cumberland Centre! We've also got a bus so we'll definately be in Atlanta. Hope to see you there!

These above five all looked great and have won a Michigan Regional this year.

For me, the best herder was 2200, it was a giant yellow box with a roller on the front and at the Waterloo Regional, they were nicknamed the Empty Cell Kings. I saw in one game, they got an empty cell in the fueling station in under 20 seconds. They also had a really good autonomous period strategy, go to the centre and spin for a random amount of time. Their thrower was also really good.

Team 399 was only going to Atlanta if they had won their way in [Regional Champions, Chairman, Engineering Inspiration]. Since we did accomplish that goal, we are working the finances and are planning to be in ATLANTA!!!!! The Registration will be in sometime this week or early next.

399 will be in Atlanta. No worries. =) Being on that list is pretty sweet...
