I know you are refering to trailer scoring rather than empty cell delivery, but for long range shooting there are surely not many bots as crazy as 1986. I refer you to this post:

The empty cell delivery really gives the alliance a big strategic head start. I will not claim we have scored a lot of long range trailer shots, but occasionally we hit a long one. We can spit them in at close range like most.

I have watched team 1717 make a charging assault on trailer once, starting shooting from about 5 ft back, and hitting the trailer as they close in. the hood would auto adjust down as it got closer. really cool to watch!

I haven't seen any robot make accurate long range shots. This year, it is all about close range dumping. :)
