Creating a global variable
I'm really interested in learning how to create a global variable for 2 motors.
I've been trying to build it but I got no successful results. I need it to use 2 motors in autonomous mode which I couldn't get to work in my regional because my coding wasn't correct :( If someone can point me to the correct path I would really appreciate it.:D |
Re: Creating a global variable
A couple of questions...
1) What language are you programming in? 2) What is the variable for, specifically? 3) What about the code wasn't working? |
Re: Creating a global variable
You can add to an existing global file, or you can create another.
To add to an existing one, double click on one of the existing globals such as the Robot one in the template. Once opened, add more controls to the global file giving them good names. Then where you want to access them, you drag the global VI icon to the diagram and select the ones you just named. If you want to create a new file, you can go to structures and drop the global? from the palette. Double click on it, drop the control with a good name, save, then click to change the ? to the global you just added. Greg McKaskle |
Re: Creating a global variable
I figured it out a couple of hours ago :) I just had to drag and drop :S Pretty simple!
Thanks a lot anyways! |
