Shared Scouting in Curie
 

The small rookie team FRC 2791 from Latham , NY would like to make some new friends! We were wondering if any teams would be willing to share some scouting duties. If you are interested in sharing scouting please let us know. Thanks and we are looking forward to competing with everyone.

Hi Team 2621 would love to share scouting. We have a whole scouting system that we programmed this year and would love to work with other teams to collect data. The system works via text to an email address (only a phone with texting required) and we can also have a meeting on thursday or possibly wednesday to discuss the scouting plans.

Our scouting team prefers to work with paper and pen. I am not sure how much we would be willing to share with you, but We can give your our scouting sheets and help you fill them out.

Team 188 will be scouting to collect data on both human player and robot performance throughout Friday. If you're interested, please send me a PM with your email address and we'd be glad to send you the database on Friday evening (we'll have to compile all of the data, so it may arrive pretty late in the evening). For an example of what this compiled data looks like, you can view our GTR database here.

1747 would be welcome to having any team scout with us; we will have a php database set up via a network in the stands. Any team with a laptop can contribute. We used a similar system at BMR and Buckeye, with six teams and four teams scouting respectively. The entire process is electronic, and data is updated automatically. PM me if you are interested.

Hey, I am the Lead scout on Skunkworks 1983. We have a heavy scouting program and would be willing to discuss working alongside other teams. At the competition we will also be posting all of our data for everyone to see. If you have any questions feel free to ask as I am completely open to sharing ideas, scouting methods, and data.

We have 5 people working on scouting. We use paper and pen but if you need any info on a certain team we would be willing to help.

1089 is willing to commit about 5-6 ppl to this cause... we can meet in the pits on thursday also. Can't wait to see you guys there! oh and we mostly use paper/ pencil. We want to start a database for next year, so it would be great if teams with an electronic method could give use a few tips on how to make a good database... thx

While we use paper and pen to obtain our data, we have an electronic database that we use to generate our graphs. We don't have people to spare as they will all need to be working our scouting program, but I am willing to compare scouting as well as help people with their scouting programs. Crayons (and anyone else) if you would like to see our scouting database to help you to design on for next year come find us in Atlanta and we can show you our process

I would like to come down to the Thursday pit meeting to discuss things with you all. While we are currently dedicated to our scouting program and have already merged with another team to have enough people to do the job, I would still like to compare and discuss scouting to see if we can help each other or give each other some ideas.

Im pretty sure Team 68 would be glad to work with other teams to work on strategics. we currently only have 4 kids on scouting and i don't think they would have issues sharing the load. I'd still have to talk to out Strategy/ Scouting Mentor.:yikes:
