Since when are the seats red? It's about time they changed them to falcon colors.:D
It's pretty boring so far lol, but I wouldn't mind being there.:( One of these years I will make it back, whether it be as a team member or volunteer. Can't wait for the action to start tomorrow, even though it is only practice day. |
Re: 2009 Championship Webcast
Is the webcast even working right now? I can see they have the fields set up, but every time I try to open the link it just doesnt work.

I lost video from Galileo about 30 seconds into the first practice match, but still get audio). The other fields still seem fine.
Edit: came back about 10 minutes later. |

Re: 2009 Championship Webcast
Ok, normally I don't share really off topic things, but I just had a major wow moment. Just for fun, I typed the address for the curie webcast into my HTC touch pro's windows media player url box...
Dude, its playing. Live. I can't believe science and engineering has come this far. </wowmoment> -q |

Re: 2009 Championship Webcast
I'm trying to watch the webcast on a Macbook, and I am having troubles watching it. It opens it in the Firefox window, but the display is pretty small and then at times it restarts itself and isn't live anymore.
Last year I was able to pic the "Real Media Player" option but they don't show that this year. Any help would be REALLY appreciated! Thanks! |
Re: 2009 Championship Webcast
I'm watching on a Macbook as well. When I clicked the link to the Curie field, it opened up in safari with a cheeze-it size screen. It was live, though. In order to make sure it works properly, you probably will need flip4mac since it's a Windows Media Stream. If you don't have that plugin yet, you can get it at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...omponents.mspx.
The way I bypassed my browser was by right clicking on "windows media stream" and copying the link. Then, I opened up VLC media player (also free download http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html), went to open network, then pasted the link into the media resource locator (MRL). It opens right up in a window where you can change the window size and what not. There may be easier ways of doing this, but this was the best I could figure. Now I just need a way to watch this on my iPhone! |
