Update-

with 29 days til BE8 here is the latest-

1. we are up to 31 teams. The max we will take is 36 but it would be nice to get at least 33 so we have 11 equal alliance groups and no matches are played with "bye" teams

2. Our food drive to date has collected nearly 900 items. The collection at BE8 hopefully will bring this up to 2500 (a goal). Remember- ground coffee counts for 3.

3, we will be using the NASA field. The regolith is a patchwork arrangement. Teams at Duel will see what I am talking about. Again- we will not penalize high scores by removing empty cells or supercells.

That's it for now. If you are thinking- "gee we should go" then you probably should and better get registered now through the event site below in this thread.

I wish I could come again this year, it is always a great time! This year it conflicts with my daughter's family weekend at college! Maybe next year!

Can't wait for Brunswick, even though its gonna be a challenge with our team (806) being made up of mostly rookies. still gonna be fun though. competitions always are.

By the looks of this, maybe we should have a best costume award.

My friend and I had an idea of getting gummy tools and legos, and put a bowl of them in our pit. You can actually make gummy legos!! ^___^

What is the pre-rookie discount? My team is contemplating going, although we don't have all the details ironed out yet. It looks like a lot of fun. :)

Teams who bring a Pre-Rookie team and allow them to compete using an older robot refitted to play Lunacy will only pay a $100 registration fee while the Pre-Rookie is given free admission. A team who brings two Pre-Rookies along will receive free admission!

For more information see the official Brunswick Eruption 8 website.

We should have a contest to see who can decorate their robot as colorful as they can. LOLZ

Or just a costume competition FOR HUMANS

Having a best costume award would be awesome!!

I know that some of my fellow team members will be wearing costumes, so it would be really fun to have at least a parade for those who will be in costume.

just my $.02

I'm hoping some teams bring me some gummy worms...

We're ready for another great time at BE. New drive team, new alliance partners, and costumes and candy? Sounds like fun.
