12 Days of Competition
 

So on our 8 hour drive back from Atlanta last night by around midnight we were getting a bit delusional from lack of sleep. We began to play to a game and then somehow we ended up re-writing the lyrics of 12 Days of Christmas into the 12 Days of Competition and later Mary Had a Little Lamb into Dean Had a Little Plan.

12 Days of Competition (Sung to 12 Days of Christmas)

On the twelfth day of competition FIRST gave to me
-12 Mascots marching
-11 Students tinkering
-10 Teams-a-dancing
-9 Mentors moaning
-8 Teams-a-picking
-7 Gears-a-turning
-6 Robots crashing
-5 Matches lost
-4 Yelling refs
-3 Driver buttons
-2 Spanner wrenches
-And another change in the rules

That evolved into FIRST
Wood called him up one day...
And said come lets be nice
Some sponsors said "Hey that looks good"...
Here's a bunch of parts
Then the word spread around...
Now there's lots of teams
Engineers got involved...
And gave us some advice
We will be like them one day...
And it's all thanks to FIRST
