Modifying Casters
 

Can we modify items from the additional hardware list?

For example, can we buy a caster from Home Depot, cut the wheel off and use the bearing for an arm pivot?

I had assumed that this is legal, as the rules do not seem to make any distinction between casters and plywood, but I thought I should ask to be sure.

I have talked to Justin and Jim. We all agree that you can modify additional materials.

What we did not want was teams buying a large mechanism just to get a sub part that is not sold seperate.
