Team 2791 would like to thank 341 for putting on a great event. We would also like to thank team 1511 for giving us a transmission to fix our intake, and teams 834 and 1218 for winning the event with us. Can't wait to return next year!

Team 1511 is home safe from the event and also wants to thank Team 341 for their hospitality! It was fun to play with some old friends and some new friends! It was a great chance for our students to mix up the drive teams, and to give the beta test system a tryout.

I had a great time as a referee, but boy, are my feet tired!

Today, four of the five car loads (one had to get home earlier) headed into Philadelphia and took the chance to see the Liberty Bell and a few of the sights within walking distance. I had a chance to go a little farther south and sample a Geno's cheese-steak!

Now you all need to come up and see us!

Sounds good to me! I would love to go back to my "other home" (RIT alum :) )

On behalf of MOE 365, we want to thank Miss Daisy and all Ramp Riot volunteers for a terrific event. It's great to have been around to see this event grow, from the 8 teams during year one, to the multi-faceted event it is today.

Congratulations on Ten Years of Ramp Riot!

Also, thanks to NASA, Wissahickon High School, and all the sponsors which made this event possible!

On the competition side, congrats to the winners and finalists and thanks to teams 768 and 1511 for running the Regolith with us.

For us and for most, this event puts a cap on Lunacy for 2009. Best of luck to all teams with our upcoming 2010 FIRST challenge.

I also want to say thanks to Miss Daisy for running such a great event. The FRC contest was great, our team had one of our best off-season performances.

It was nice to have a pit next to 1511 to learn all of their secrets (and to hang out with my sister :) Even though the space is packed with robots there are great site lines in the stands to watch the action.

I also liked the other robot stuff going on from the public drive area to the FTC competition in the back hall. Thanks for letting us be part of the outreach to the Girl Scout "Girls in Gear" program. They loved driving the VEX robots in the game we set up. Some of those Daisy Scouts (1 and 2nd graders) were pretty amazing at the controls.

Thanks for setting up control system presentations. It's nice to see and talk to the beta guys to be able to plan ahead.

And finally, thanks for flying in Andy Baker. It was cool to meet the man that is the myth (or is it the legend?) of so many stories.

See you next year!

Many People asked about our Ramp Riot 10th Anniversary video. You watch both the 10th Anniversary Video and the Intro video fromt he opening ceremony on vimeo.

http://vimeo.com/7655225

The tenth anniversary video is very cool because it has every game since 2000 all in one video.

ENJOY!!

Al,
We've got a Girl Scout team here in Austin that is starting to generate team interest with other Girl Scouts. Would you be willing to send me contact information regarding this? It sounds awesome!

Thank you,

Jane:
My daughter designed and implemented this program for her silver award in 2008 and it grew into something bigger. :)

Here is a link to a very descriptive white paper.
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/2271

You can also send an email to the organizers at girls.in.gear@gmail.com

We can provide written materials, give away patches, and advice about the timing and activities. We are also working on demonstration boards and videos.
Just an FYI, none of the materials have the Team 341 logo on it and we encourage local teams to personalize their materials. We want this to be a stand alone program strictly for the benefit of the scouts and the teams involved.

Got it.
I'll forward this to the lead mentor. Girl Scouts are bringing amazing assets, attitudes, and abilities to this program. Thank you, Al! Please tell your daughter, thank you.

Thank you so much for being a Ref, just when we needed help. 1511 really helped with some very important aspects of our event. (Particularly, Jeff Downs with the control system)
It was also just fun to have Rolling Thunder at Ramp Riot. Thanks very much for attending and volunteering.
