Curie Division of Championships

Who is the Curie Division named after?
We think its either Pierre Curie or Marie Curie not sure which...

I would assume Marie Curie, as she is better known. Or haven't you heard one of the Curie cheers: Madam! Curie!

Marie Curie... 2 Nobel prizes....
Probably one of the greatest early chemists...
not to mention that she was a woman in a world dominated by male scientists.

Its named after Madam Curie, I remembered the MC saying "Madam Curie" and me taking some time to research Radium! :) Good stuff that she invented, unfortunately, that is also the reason why she died [I think...].

I've always assumed it was the whole Curie family, which has five Nobel Laureates. The "Ma-dam Cur-ie" chant just fits well.

Even if you say otherwise, I will ignore you on the grounds I think the rest of her family deserves attention too. :p

Sarcastic, somewhat witty and dismissive all at the same time. Terrifying how much that sounds exactly like something an older Lavery would say. Poor young lad never had a chance.

Yup and often painfully truthful.

This was an amazing family who worked together in difficult times, and faced daunting challenges and ignorance. I celebrate Madame Curie and I also celebrate the family goals and achievements gained from working together. It's huge.

Ye gads, I never realized the pedigree of that family!
