Problems With my computer

This might sound like a stupid question but I can't figure out how to restart my windows vista computer I tried the whole ctrl + f11 thing but nothing ever happens can anyone help me??

Open the Start menu. To the right of the sleep and lock buttons there is a small arrow, hover over that, a menu will open with all power options.

Alternately, with all windows minimized or closed, press Alt+F4 and select restart.
