Taylor 124http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/33690 As always, the deadline is theoretically Saturday at midnight Eastern. Go! |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
After a good stomping by Mark and Linda, the giant walking stick monster has been defeated

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
2010 game hint?
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
After doing lots of math, Mark needed a break.
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Mark is doing the math on how many hurdles from 2008 he is doing while he steps
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Mark is a rocket scientist. Moments after this picture:
"Hey!" "Look out!" "Heads up!" "What just happened??" Apparently, he's also a practical joker with the evil genius of one Mr. Dave Lavery. The field crew was not amused when he pointed out that even some real lunar regolith is burned... |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Andy Baker, sidelined and wrapping his left foot with ice and duct tape:
"Mark, think nimble. You know, Mark be nimble, Mark be quick - yeah - you got it. Governor Linda, watch it, don't cross your feet - you'll get in a habit of doing that and next thing you know - boom. Those sticks are straight as a ruler and totally unforgiving. That's where I went wrong." *sigh - I need some more ice for my right foot... trackball surfing was so much easier.* |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Please sit back and listen to the calm music of the Philipines, a song charished for generations. [Cotton Eye Joe starts] Thats the wrong song!
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Mark finds out the hard way that no matter how much math you do, it doesn't make you any better at dancing.
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Tired of getting his shins bashed in by stick-wielding Filipinos, Mark Leon invokes General Douglas MacArthur:
"I SHALL RETURN!......after I go to the hospital and have these giant splinters removed from my legs. Turns out the hospital is in, er, um......Iceland! Yeah, Iceland - that's the ticket! So don't wait up for me!" |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Mark, thinking: "Do the math, do the math ... hmm, math ... Let's see, there's 4 stripes down there, 8 green stripes at this end, it looks like 6 stripes in the middle ... That's an arithmetic progression, so it must mean that to do this dance you have to progress from the easy to the hard steps ... Easy steps, Hard steps! Thats why we do the math!" Copioli, off camera, "What math!?!?!?"

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
I guess the Philippines is recruting for the Olympics early

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
After too many volunteers showed up in Hawaii - no need to wonder why  - we see here the third round of Judges Elimination, courtesy of Team 3105.
Later rounds switched to steel pipes. The crowd for their part just loved it, enjoying the syncopated "Chuck Berry" beat: "clack-cla-clack (OW) clack clack (OWW!) clackaclack (OW OWW) clack clack..." Don |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
The GDC does some preliminary testing of next year's game design.... on humans
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Mark..."OK all I have to do is get my foot in there without getting caught. This is easier than stepping around penguins at the south pole. I can do this!"
(This is the first time I have seen a picture of Mark that didn't have a blur. He is moving all the time.) |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
The surface of the light side of the moon can reach temperatures of over 120°C. Apparently, someone didn't realize this when she stepped onto the regolith with her bare feet. Ouch.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
*music blaring from speakers*
"It's just a jump to the left And a step to the right! Put your hands on your hips And pull your knees in tight!"* Audience member: "Wait, that doesn't look like the Tinikling..." *Or, alternatively, replace with the lyrics found here http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...259#post319259 |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251

Scout out the Technoticks, A programmer with an old OI He'd use a Chicklet Now every wheel of a bot chassis Revolves around a shaft But Tinikling with an old bam-boo Makes Mark Leon go daft. 1!-2!-3!-4!-5!-6!-7!-8! Me ol' bam-boo, me ol' bam-boo You'd better never mess with my ol' bam-boo. Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
Announcer: OK, here we are back at the finals of the World Limbo Championship and we can see our contestants getting ready the sudden death eliminations.
Color Commentator: These contestants are the best I've seen in years; already they've set a record height of 3 inches. Heck, even if they do manage to limbo lower it may still be sudden death from the spine compression. Announcer: You could very well be right. I suspect that is why we saw Mark Leon break out the slide rule during the last break. Color Commentator: Yeah, he was probably trying to keep this from becoming HIS last break. |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #251
